Originally by: Diana Kim Irjunen. Another red cross explodes under heavy shower of missiles. Simple tasks given by Police - find and exterminate the pirates. Outlaws fates were predefined. In a couple minutes the field covers with wrecks and red signals disappear. The work is done. But what is this? New ship appears in the area. It slowly floats to the wreck and... turns red. A thief? Overloaded anti-frigate lasers quick found the target (surprise! laser raven :p) Throttles set to maximum, overview clear, scanners show nothing... a few minutes passed, but nobody came to avenge fallen thief. A fallen ninja. No sound in the local, only empty space and wrecks around.
Waskisen. Several hours ago. A lone heron-class frigate rests in a middle of nowhere. Combat scanner probes lying around. Time from time two kestrels come to the spot dropping stolen goods and gaining new coordinates from heron. Suddenly a giant armageddon battleship appears from warp bubble and approaches the heron at full speed, without even trying to lock him. When the battleship was about to touch the frigate, a burst of energy exploded, destroying the heron with a pod capsule, leaving only wreck and corpse lying around. After that angry CONCORD officers appeared from nowhere and destroyed the daring armageddon. But the ninja group activity was stopped for some time. And there were no sound in the local, only empty space and wrecks around.

I heard that CCP wasn't against ninja salvagers because they could stimulate inter-payer communication while doing missions. But what I have encountered doesn't fit in this concept entirely! There were no responses from them after writing to local chat, after sending them EVEmails, destroying wrecks, even after popping and... PODDING them . They continue coming to your missions, salvaging and flying away if targeted, no matter what you do: trying to talk to them, scare, taunt, attack or pod them. At first, I was angry (ignoring me? *draws guns* take THAT!), then I was amused, and now I found it funny. They act not like players, but like bots or new NPCs
So, what I want to say is: Ninja salvaging DOESN'T stimulate interplayer communication, and letting it is the same as letting you send EVEmails to rats you kill ;) How ridiculous it sounds, but I doubt anyone would send mails to NPC :p There are many other means of player interactions in missions ;) Did you check, for example, HelpMyMission channel? There are much more player interactions than any ninja salvager can offer (and where you can ask me how to suicide pod ninjas )
